Papadakis Integrated Sciences Building Opens

Drexel's New Addition: The Papadakis Integrated Sciences Building, named after that university's late president, Constantine "Taki" Papadakis. The Building is part of Drexel's Main Campus in Philadelphia, PA.
For 14 years Constantine “Taki” Papadakis, the late President of Drexel University, successfully persuaded wealthy philanthropists to lend their names to major Drexel buildings. Buildings like the Daskalakis Athletic Center, Bossone Research Enterprise Center, Behrakis Grand Hall, and Paul Peck Alumni Center were all part of a grand strategy to transform Drexel into what has become a major university and integral part of the Philadelphia ecosystem.

As is the case with all great people, Papadakis worked tirelessly, oftentimes putting in 70-hour weeks, to achieve the goals that he set for himself and the university. He crisscrossed the United States and traveled around the world to heighten awareness for Drexel and to grow the physical campus to accommodate the burgeoning influx of students.

I have great respect and regard for the late Drexel President Papadakis. He was a sterling example of the hard working Greek American, proud of his ethnicity and driven to exemplify it with his own personal success. Let him be an example for all of us.
