Archbishop Demetrios' rumored resignation on the horizon

BOSTON - Intense discussions have begun to develop over recent days - both at the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople where Archbishop Demetrios of America had visited over the weekend, as well as among high-level officials in the Greek American Community regarding the possible resignation of Archbishop Demetrios as head of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.

These rumors gained even more ground on Tues. April 27 when Archbishop Demetrios met with Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou in Athens.
